My aim for these blogs is to regularly bring you updates about what is happening at Kent Beauty and Massage.
You can learn more about the treatments on offer and any new treatments that have been recently added, you will hear about monthly offers and I will also be drawing on my experience and expertise to write informative articles about things that I hope will be of interest to you.
Firstly, however, for those of you who don’t know me, let me spend a little time introducing myself.
My name is Lorraine. I have been in the massage and beauty industries for a number of years. Never one to sit on my laurels, I regularly further my skill set with additional, professional development courses, and am considered by many to be an expert in my field.
Starting as a mobile therapist, I then was fortunate enough to work for Pfizer before again going solo and am presently renting a wonderful space within Discovery Park.
The office salon is within easy access of Sandwich, Ramsgate, Deal and surrounding villages and there is plenty of free parking for visitors to the site; it is also possible to walk from central Sandwich in about 20 minutes.
As well as offering in-house treatments I am also trialing a luxury mobile-spa service (minimum spend applies) with treatments available in your holiday rent, your B&B, or your hotel. For larger gatherings, myself and a team of therapists can help provide beauty and holistic treatments for your baby-shower, hen-party, pamper-party… in fact any occasion you care to celebrate!
Now, for a little more about me. I have two adult children, two cats and am hoping to get some more chickens this summer once I have chook-proofed my new garden.
In my spare time (!) I enjoy visiting fine-dining establishments; l love to cook and have the most wonderful selection of books that I regularly flick through; it doesn’t all have to be posh-nosh though, I am also partial to a full English with a fried slice!
When I have the time I like to read – Harlan Coben is a fairly recent find and I am enjoying working my way through his collection.
I love spending time with friends; whether walking to Sandwich Bay and back or taking time out to enjoy a cuppa and a gossip, self-care and being with those you care about is vital.
Last year I did my introduction to counselling course which taught me some wonderful ‘skills’ that assist in my therapist role. This year I am hoping to continue learning more skills and am presently investigating henna brows and skin peels… but more about those when they are new treatments!
For those of you who did dry-January, Veganuary, or started a healthy eating plan, well done! You are almost there. Don’t forget there are still a couple of days to book the amazing luxury detox treat for just £48 instead of the usual £70.
Starting with G5, a mechanical massage that is believed to be excellent for cellulite reduction, lymphatic drainage and detoxifying; then follows a hands-on massage with especially blended detoxifying aromatherapy essential oils with lymphatic drainage and advanced massage techniques.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to chatting with you again soon.
